I'm so grateful this family has decided to open their restaurant. Spartanburg has needed authentic Indian food like this for a while. The owners put so much knowledge, love, and authenticity in each dish served. They also take the time to educate their guest about each dish, which I greatly appreciate! I've tried many of their vegetarian items every dish has been full of flavor and not overly spicy (which I do appreciate a little spice)! Thank again and I hope you'll will be here to stay!

If you haven't tried De Flavors of India, do yourself a favor and go ASAP. Radhica Sachin Patel really has it figured out. Nothing I can type can describe how delicious my food was. I ordered Butter chicken with Garlic Naan and a side of vegetable Samosas. Yummmm.

Last night, we ordered our first meal of the chicken tikka, butter chicken, rajwadi chicken, with naan, samosas, some raita and rice. What a feast! When we opened the containers, the smell immediately got us drooling. I noticed some naan was already eaten by my husband, on his way home with the food- he couldn't resist. Everything was simply delicious! We are looking forward to having the leftovers for lunch today. The owner could not be kinder and more helpful. De Flavors of India is absolutely amazing! Everything we ordered was delicious and well prepared. The butter chicken was super yummy & I'm totally hooked on the air fried samosas! Lord Have Mercy, this place is GOOD! You have to try it. We got the Chicken Tikka and Butter Chicken! They are both Out of This World Fabulous!! Make sure you get Naan, we had the butter naan and the garlic naan both Phenomenal!!!! Highly Recommend!!!

This tastes exactly like what you would find in a Hyderabadi home made by mom from India. I used to live in India and miss it. It was the right amount of spice (heat). The gravy (curry) was spot on. Definitely try the chicken with the buttered naan. I live near by, so I will be a patron here. The four star is because I prefer a little more cream in the gravy.
In regards to the 1 star rating that someone else gave, bear in mind that all restaurants take time to dial in the menu. Plus the fact that at the time of this review that person only has 5 reviews that they have ever given.

Spartanburg Eats

Tried De Flavors Of India for lunch today and it is FANTASTIC. Highly recommend. We had chicken biryani, chicken tikka and aloo gobi. Tried the samosas, naan and papadam, too. All so good. Fresh, tasty but not overly-spiced for my South Carolina palate. It's great to have Indian food in Spartanburg again.

I was introduced to Indian cuisine while living in London for the summer many years ago and have always wanted an Indian restaurant in Spartanburg close to where I live. So happy to have De Flavors Of India open now. I ordered for the first time yesterday and started with the chicken tikka masala as I always do with garlic naan. it was sensational! I can't wait to go back and ultimately try everything on the menu!
